A DAY AT THE STANWICH CLUB
 
CONDITIONS OF PLAY
United States Golf Association Rules of golf govern all play unless otherwise revised as a Local Rule by the Committee and posted on the first tee.

GOLF SHOP
Please register in the Golf Shop prior to beginning play.

DRESS CODE
Proper attire is required on the Golf Course and all practice areas.  No tennis-style short or jeans are permitted.  Appropriate attire for men and junior boys includes the following:  Bermuda-length shorts, collared shirts (tucked in), and/or tailored slacks.

CELL PHONES
THE USE OF CELL PHONES AND OTHER ELECTRONIC COMMUNICTION DEVICES ARE PROHIBITED ON THE STANWICH CLUB PROPERTY, including the terrace, the golf course, the pool area and the clubhouse.  You may use your cell phone or other electronic communication devices only inside your vehicle.  Physicians, however, may use such devices as required by their medical practice.

CADDIES
Qualified and motivated caddies contribute greatly to the pleasure of a round of golf.  Caddies are not employees of the club. Their renumeration is determined by the members and guests who use their services.  We are proud of our Caddie program and confident that they will add to your enjoyment of Stanwich. 

CARE FOR THE COURSE
Please replace all divots, repair ball marks and rake the bunkers.   Golf carts must remain on an established path around all greens and tees and stay on the paths at all times on the par 3 holes.

GOLF SHOES
Stanwich asks you to wear shoes with less aggressive bottoms and spike less shoes are encouraged.  Please be aware of the marks you make on the greens and tap down any spike marks before leaving each green.

SPEED OF PLAY
All players are expected to maintain an acceptable pace of play.  The Golf Committee states the expected time for a completion of a round for a foursome is four hours; for twosome; three hours.  If your group takes longer than 4 hours and 15 minutes (or 3 hours and 15 minutes for twosomes) to complete the round, you will receive a slow play warning.
