WELCOME TO “THE WITCH”!
Stanwich was originally designed by William and David Gordon and opened for play in 1964.  The Tom Fazio group has redesigned the course in three phases over the past 15 years.  The Club has hosted the USGA Mid-Am Championship, Palmer Cup, Wyndham Cup and numerous other Professional and Amateur Championships over the years.

CELL PHONES
The Board of Directors and the House Committee continue to balance the realities of electronic devices in our lives with an ambiance commensurate with the spirit of our golf and family focused club.

We have eased restrictions on the use of electronic devices as follows for members 18 and older only:

• In dining rooms, terrace, and the bar if a member deems it necessary, discrete, silent, and brief text messaging is permitted. Devices must be on silent and remain off the table.

• For communication longer than a brief text, emailing or anything else, individuals must leave the dining area and go the Card Room.

• Electronic devices may be used for taking and sharing photographs.

The following rules remain in force:
• Members are responsible for the behavior of their guests.
• All electronic devices must be on silent
• No electronic devices on the dining tables
• No voice communications except in the phone booth or in a member’s car
• No games or videos
• No web browsing

CADDIES
Qualified and motivated caddies contribute greatly to the pleasure of a round of golf.  Caddies are not employees of the club. Their remuneration is determined by the members and guests who use their services.  We are proud of our Caddie program and confident that they will add to your enjoyment of Stanwich. Henry and Josh will serve as a good guide for any questions you may have regarding the Caddies

CARE FOR THE COURSE
Please replace all divots, repair ball marks and rake the bunkers.   Golf carts must remain on an established path around all greens and tees and stay on the paths at all times on the par 3 holes.
